How to Use Copper Chef Pan?

Copper Chef Pans work pretty much the same as any other non-stick pans, which means you’ll have to season before using them for the first time and again every couple of weeks.

How To Season Copper Chef Pans

While it might sound like a lot of work, seasoning is pretty simple and shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes.

Step 1

Wash your pan with warm soapy water, using a soft sponge or your hands. Avoid scrubbing and avoid using a dishwasher.

Step 2

Using a soft cloth or a paper towel, dry your pan thoroughly, making sure no water residues stay on the inside of your pan. If you’re not in a rush, let your pan air dry before continuing.

If you can’t wait, simply make sure it’s dry.

Step 3

Place your pan on low or medium low heat for around 30 seconds or until it starts to get hot, but not hot enough to cook.

Remove from the fire.

Step 4

Add a tablespoon of cooking oil, preferably vegetable oil, and spread evenly. First by letting it slide around the surface, then by using a clean soft cloth or a paper towel.

You need to make sure the oil covers the entire cooking surface, including the sides of the pan.

Step 5

Let the pans air dry until the oil has been absorbed. This could take a couple of hours.

If there’s still oil, wipe it off with a paper towel.

If you can’t wait for the oil to dry, at least wait a couple of minutes until the pan cools down and then start using it.
